Work
A lot of changes for me this year - I changed jobs mid-year being the biggest one!  After 3-ish years at the company, I had my 3rd manager in as many years, and we just couldn’t get along in a work-sense, and it was affecting my health, so I made the difficult, but ultimately correct decision to resign.  As we were having a month in England ( Read more... )

I had a computer-free weekend last week, so did quite a bit of work on this.  I've gotten through most of one page of pattern, of the four pages of pattern that this kit consists of.  I did make one mistake in counting before I copied the pattern to colour in as i went, so I had to unpick a bit of her face around the left eye so it would be correct ( Read more... )

When we were in England last month, we visited a craft shop in York, and I stash-enhanced with a couple of things I'd seen in magazines but can't get here!  One that I really wanted to get was "Adrift" by Mirabelle (Santoro London).

Another week, another new Gorjuss girl to do!!  I like the lighter colours of this one too, and it's following along with the fox motif, which she seems to include in a lot of these.

I've finally got off my butt and framed up some of the Gorjuss pictures I've done recently.  I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out, I chose plain white frames as I think it suits the simplicity of the pictures.  Plus they're easier to match in the long term, as there's many more still to go!!

Chugging along very nicely with this one - I've finished the girl, and most of the ground.  All I have left to do in the (inevitable!) backstitching, and the remaining ground.  Plus the book on the ground she's torn the page from.

I'm really enjoying doing these pictures, they're lovely and simple to do and they're so cute too!

We had an invite to a friend's 40th birthday this week, and she decided on a Masquerade Theme.  When we were in Italy last year, we both bought a mask from Venice, so this was a perfect opportunity to wear them ( Read more... )

Quite a bit of progress done on this - I went to a craft weekend a couple of weeks ago, and in between catching up on gossip, I did a bit of work on her.  Still got quite a bit to go though, mainly the tree, and the random snow blobs.  Maybe finished by next weekend, as I went to the craft show yesterday, and bought some new projects to do.  So ( Read more... )
